Wendeanna graduated the 3000 hour program at WCCMT New Westminster in 2011. As part of her practicum, she gained invaluable experience treating patients at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, at the Burn Plastics and Trauma Unit (BPTU) at VGH, and at Friends for Life. Each outreach provided a unique experience and area of knowledge that Wendeanna was able to learn from. The BPTU outreach was particularly rewarding because she got the opportunity to witness the positive effects massage therapy has on scarring caused by surgeries and burns. The work at these outreaches helped her to realize the important role massage therapy can play in healing.
All of the experience and knowledge that Wendeanna gained during her practicum and her education is directly reflected in her practice. She maintains a high level of professionalism and therapeutic effectiveness while maintaining a gentle and caring bedside manner. She treats a wide variety of conditions including but not limited to: sports injuries, post surgical rehabilitation, palliative care, and pre/post natal care. She enjoys the challenge of creating the most beneficial treatment plan for each patient as an individual including stretching and strengthening plans rooted in an ongoing practice of Pilates herself.

Liz had entered into massage therapy in 1996 after graduating from the WCCMT in Vancouver. The first years of practice started in Vancouver’s West End, but had led to other opportunities surfacing over the next two years. The most important one had come from meeting Dr. Brenda Mason at Yaletown Chiropractic. She had continued her massage therapy practice there within a fast, yet refreshingly challenging pace along side the chiropractors and RMTs.
In 1999, Liz had realized her dream of opening her own clinic with the help of her husband. Yaletown Massage Therapy became one of the few massage therapy clinics in this vibrant neighborhood.
Liz’s focus in treatment is myofascial release, trigger point release and the use of unwinding techniques in practice. This form of treatment she believes is very effective and long lasting for most body ailments. To aid in continued recovery or general wellness, Liz suggests yoga and Pilates as gentle movement exercises to strengthen our core. She has practiced both for several years and she can appreciate the positive outcome of strength and proper alignment in the body from training in those disciplines.
She continues to enjoy working with patients of all ages, pre and post natal women, and recreational and competitive athletes.
Liz loves spending her time with her family on her days away from the clinic. She is passionate about dance and movement, as well as being in nature and enjoying Vancouver’s beautiful outdoors.
Liz is available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
